Preparing Melwin Pantzar for the NBA Summer League with the Sacramento Kings

Melwin Pantzar had a season in the Spanish ACB-league. This was the first season back in the ACB after his MVP-season in Leb Oro, the Spanish second league. We had completely set our sights on preparing our summer and continuing his development. Melwin’s agent informed him about the invitation to play in the California Classic Summer League for The Sacramento Kings, truly an amazing opportunity! This meant that we would have to start preparing and increasing the intensity earlier than initially planned. These situations can be more difficult to properly manage, because the wear and tear of the season accumulates a lot of fatigue. To navigate a situation like this, we also have to consider the excitement that comes with another opportunity, which will most likely impact one’s ability to rest.
